Cloud Software Group, Inc. (“the Company”, “we”, or “us”) is the owner of the FLOGO word mark and the “Flynn” hummingbird logo and design (hereinafter “the Marks”). The Marks may only be used in accordance with this license. Any use that does not comply with this license is not permitted. Prior written permission from the Company is required to use the Marks in a way not described in this License.
Project Flogo (the “Project” or “Flogo”) is an open source integration framework for the Internet of Things (IoT) and the Project Flogo community is an essential part of this open source project. Project Flogo is identified through the FLOGO word mark and the “Flynn” hummingbird logo. In order to protect the Marks and to avoid confusion, we need to ensure that they are used properly. The following terms help ensure that the Marks remain reliable indicators of quality and source, while at the same time encouraging Project Flogo users to discuss the Project and any Project-based software or services with others and to accurately describe their affiliation with the Company or the Project.

By using either of the Marks, you agree to be legally bound by the terms of this License. We may modify the terms at any time and your continued use of the Marks will constitute your consent to such modifications.
2. General Guidelines
We are excited that you are using Project Flogo. As Project Flogo is an open source project, we only permit the use of the Marks in a non-commercial context. You can use the Marks in a non-commercial manner to accurately describe the nature of your relationship with the Project or the Company and to express your affinity for the Project, as long as you do so truthfully without causing confusion, or implying ownership, endorsement, or sponsorship by the Company or any of its subsidiaries, and in a way that does not disparage or degrade the Company or the Project.
When using the Marks, you must include the following trademark notice:
Flogo and the “Flynn” hummingbird logo are trademarks or registered trademarks of Cloud Software Group, Inc. and/or its subsidiaries in the United States and/or other countries
You may not use the Marks in connection with any illegal activity. Your use or display of the Marks in connection with your non-commercial application or other non-commercial context shall not create any right, title or interest for you in or to the Marks. The Company owns the goodwill in the Marks, including any goodwill generated by your use of the Marks. The Company reserves the right to initiate legal action relating to any third party use of the Marks that the Company, in its sole discretion, deems unlawful or improper, even if such use is not expressly prohibited hereunder. You agree not to challenge or assist others to challenge the Company’s use, ownership or registration of the Marks. You agree to provide the Company, upon its request, with copies of your marketing materials. You must promptly correct any deficiencies in the use of the Marks upon written request by the Company. Any unauthorized or improper use of the Marks may constitute trademark infringement, unfair competition, and/or copyright infringement in violation of federal, state or international laws. CLOUD SOFTWARE GROUP, INC. DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTIES THAT MAY BE EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW REGARDING THE MARKS (TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW), INCLUDING WARRANTIES AGAINST INFRINGEMENT. You agree that this license and any right to use the Marks terminates automatically upon your failure to comply with these license terms. This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.
3. Rules for Proper Usage
(a) Use of the FLOGO trademark in Text
The FLOGO word mark may only be used in all caps (“FLOGO”) or with an initial capital letter (“Flogo”). The first use of the FLOGO word mark in a document or other material must bear the ® trademark attribution (e.g., “Flogo®”). In text, the FLOGO mark must be used as a singular adjective followed by the appropriate generic noun, such as “the Project Flogo® framework”. The word mark may not be used as a noun or verb, or in the plural or possessive form.
(b) Flynn Logo Use
You may only use the Flynn logo in a non-commercial context. You may only use the approved versions of the Flynn logo that are made available by the Company at http://flogo.io/flogo-brand.zip and on the Flogo GitHub website and only when you are referring specifically to Flogo or an integration that was created using Flogo. You may not alter the logo’s colors, design, words, proportion, or trademark attribution, and you may not crop it. You may, however, adjust the size to fit your use, provided that the “®” remains visible and the design is not distorted. The use of the logo is further subject to the restrictions set forth in the remainder of this License.
(c) Products, Websites, Names and Logos
Do not incorporate the Marks into your own product name, service name, trademarks, logos, company name, or website name. To promote your use of the Project without creating confusion about the origin of your non-commercial offering, you may include language on/in your website, product, or application explaining that your application was “built on the Project Flogo® framework.” You may also use the following “Powered by Flogo®” button for your non-commercial offerings. The button should provide a link to the www.flogo.io website.

DON’T:

Don’t use the Flynn logo or a portion thereof for your own product or incorporate it into your own logo. Your product should feature your own unique branding.

Don’t use the Flynn logo or a portion thereof in connection with your own website unless you are using the logo for the sole purpose of providing a link to the www.flogo.io site. Your website should feature your own unique branding.

Don’t use the Marks as the most prominent element on your website, product, or application.

Don’t register a domain name containing the FLOGO word mark or any confusingly similar words or misspellings.

Don’t apply for a trademark for the FLOGO word mark or any confusingly similar words or misspellings.

Don’t create or make use of modified or derivative versions of the Flynn logo.
(d) Advertising and Promotional Materials
The Company does not permit or license the Marks for use on commercial merchandise or other for-sale items. You may however, use the Marks on free give-away items such as clothing, hats or mugs, to show your use of the open source Flogo framework. You may also use the Marks on your advertising and promotional materials in order to show your use of the Project Flogo framework.
(e) Books, Guides, Blogs, Publications, and Conferences
You can use the Marks for educational and instructional purposes, but you need to ensure that such use is not confusing or misleading, or suggesting sponsorship by the Company. Please also include the following statement in your printed materials: “(Title) is not affiliated with or otherwise sponsored by Cloud Software Group, Inc.” You may also use the Marks in blog or news articles (although not in blog names), as long as you follow the terms of this License. You may not use the Marks in the title or otherwise on the cover of books or other publications without prior written permission of the Company.
(f) Social Media Usage
Don’t use or register the Marks as or incorporated in social media account names, profiles, profile photos, or monikers. If you want to tag Project Flogo in social media posts, please use the #ProjectFlogo hashtag.
